“Our nation’s warriors stand up to serve their country. That tie binds generations and unites us around the common cause of freedom. We honor those who give so much and ask for nothing in return.”
Sean Parnell – US Army Ranger
OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
April 30, 2013
Since 2010, I’ve served as the Executive Director of Allegiant Battle for Veterans (ABFV). On March 24, I officially resigned my position with ABFV, leaving that organization in good hands with a positive future.
Since my sons entered the military more than 8 years ago, I have spent these years giving my life to the cost of bringing honor to veterans. Whether it is through the Battle at the Capital, Battle for Veterans Football Invitation, high school assemblies, or working with many other nonprofit military support groups, these great ventures all had one thing in common – honor the service men, women and veterans that provide freedom to our great country!
From around the nation, veteran’s needs remain great. To service them, great energy and great vision is needed. I am ready. I am willing. I have partnered with numerous agencies from the four corners of America to launch THE HONOR GROUP.
THE HONOR GROUP seeks to expand beyond the borders of California. Having recognized that there are veterans living in every city and town in America, our team is committed and willing to go with resource in one hand and awareness in the other.
Since launching THE HONOR GROUP, we have built an alliance with the philanthropic community, faith-based organizations, and school districts. Our vision encompasses all branches of the military. Our values are rooted in the tradition of generosity, loyalty, and honor.
Make no mistake, we are a group of individuals and like-minded people who leave a legacy of hope every place we go. We provide practical help for those re-entering civilian life.
The Honor Group Educates: The HONOR TOUR brings together our public school speaking team, and embeds it with a fast-paced, multimedia laced assembly, which showcases heroes of the armed forces to the students of America. The Honor Tour secures veterans, color guards and some of America’s most requested youth communicators. We tell the story of the sacrifice of a soldier’s life.
“Our school and community were blown away by the power of the Honor Tour. We saw our community bind together for a CAUSE like we had never seen before. Thank you for bringing this event to our school.”
Jay Berns, Principal, Lincoln High School
“We want our school to understand and appreciate the troops. We feel if we can take a week to honor our troops it’s totally worth it.”
Casey Taylor, Head Football Coach, Del Oro High School
The Honor Group Empowers: Driven by the deep belief that veterans are civic assets and leaders, The Honor Group utilizes the vision of The Mission Continues (TMC) organization. This nonprofit works to empower veterans to transform their own lives by serving others and directly impacting their communities. The Honor Group passionately finds the best possible employment and higher education opportunities for selected veterans.
The Honor Group Equips: Many veterans returning from combat are unable to find the most basic medical coverage. We equip veterans to find resources to extend beyond insurance coverage.
The Honor Group thanks you for your continued support. Visit us online at www.thehonorgroup.org . We will see you at one of our upcoming events.
Respectfully,
