Get the New Director’s Cut in H/D
It has been almost three years since this video was captured. In February 2010 (while the 3/5 battalion was still in Sangin) a group of coaches traveled to Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego, CA. They rented the Veteran’s Museum located in Balboa Park because the close proximity to Balboa Hospital was the deciding factor to help the ‘Stars’ easily come from the hospital to the location.
Two long days of filming Marines, their wives and parents provided hours of footage which eventually was used for “The DAY Remembered.”
The new directors cut documentary includes a digitally remastered 60 minute version of their stories. The DVD also has special segments that shows how the Marines are doing today. The DAY Remembered is broken into five main chapters. Each Marine discusses The DAY his injury occurred, the Shock that something so horrible could happen, and how recovery has been handled now and in the future.
