The first game of the 2023 Honor Bowl will have Oak Ridge, traveling down from NorCal to play Madison, a local San Diego team. This will be both school’s second appearance in The Honor Bowl.

Madison is returning to The Honor Bowl when the Warhawks had a 9-2 season and #4 in San Diego DI section. Head Coach Rick Jackson is pleased that Madison will be in back-to-back Honor Bowls and the matchup should be an interesting one! Similar to Oak Ridge, the Warhawks graduate 23 starters. The Warhawk JV team ended their 2022 season with a strong record of 9-1.

Senior RBs Jaylon Brown and James Tivao will make an impact in the ground game. On the other side of the ball, two-way starter MLB Tivao ked the Warhawks with total Tackles. Senior DE Kuddah Mitchell will also be a play-stopper in 2023.
